Why We Built SVG Clean Kit
Every day, millions of developers and designers export icons, logos, and UI graphics from tools like Figma, Adobe Illustrator, Inkscape, and Sketch. While these design applications are incredible for creative authoring, their SVG exporters inject staggering amounts of bloat: internal editor namespaces, undo histories, author metadata, empty layer groups, and coordinate numbers running up to 9 decimal places.
This extra baggage causes web pages to load slower, degrades Google Core Web Vitals (Largest Contentful Paint and DOM size), and clutters code repositories with thousands of lines of unreadable XML.
Existing web tools either required uploading sensitive artwork to third-party cloud servers, subjected users to intrusive pop-up advertisements, or failed to provide developer exports like React JSX and Data URIs. We built SVG Clean Kit to solve every single one of those pain points.
